..: Rachna Amin, Managing Director

Rachna is the co-promoter and Managing Director of Kawamin. Since 1993, she has personally developed, and expanded the Non-Ferrous & Steel business for the company and charted the company’s growth into different product lines and into the Asian markets. She heads the trading activities of the company on a daily basis as its Chief Operating Officer and is instrumental in executing trades in a systematic, structured and de-risked manner.
Rachna is also a Director and strategic shareholder of Allindia Technologies Ltd., Kolkata, INDIA.
She commenced her working career in 1991 in London, UK, before moving to Singapore.
She graduated with a Major (Honors) in Management Science with Computing from the University of Kent, Canterbury, U.K. in 1990. She also holds a Masters Degree in Industrial relations and Personnel management from the London School of Economics, UK.

Hemant Amin, Director

Hemant is a primary promoter of Kawamin since its inception in 1993. He was the Managing Director from April 1998 to March 2009. He has been instrumental in bringing discipline and focus to the company’s various business lines. As a result, Kawamin’s business lines are focused around a few core competencies and emphasis is on growing volumes in those business lines.
Hemant is also the primary promoter and Director of Allindia Technologies Ltd., Kolkata, India, a leading information and technology company in Eastern India. The company has an IT consultancy division which develops software and web solutions and also owns and manages www.batchmates.com , one of Asia’s largest community portals.
Additionally, Hemant is also the promoter and Director of numerous Investment management & holding companies.
He commenced his working career with Coopers & Lybrand in London, UK before moving to Singapore in 1993. He graduated with a double Major (Joint Honors) in Accounting & Economics from the University of Kent, Canterbury, U.K. in 1990. |
..: Om Prakash Agarwal, Director - Business Development

Om Prakash Agarwal is a graduate from the Kolkata University holding a Diploma in Business Management and has over 40 years of vast experience in the Iron & Steel Industry dealing in Flat and Long products. He has held senior management positions in various steel mills in India.
From 1968 – 1993 he has worked with Lloyds Steel group of industries at various levels.
From 2001 – 2005 he was with Bhushan Limited as General Manager – International Marketing
From 2005 – 2007 he was with Jindal India Limited as President – International Marketing
Om Prakash has done extensive travelling and has visited many Steel Mills around the world in China, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Iran, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Bangladesh, UAE and some of the European Mills. |
..: S. Ramesh, General Manager

Ramesh joined Kawamin in 1994. Till 2008 he was working in Singapore and since then has been relocated to India to oversee and strengthen the Company’s operations in India and the Sub- Continent. Ramesh heads the Non-ferrous division of the Company.
He graduated with a Bachelors of Science (Chemistry) from the University of Bangalore, in 1986. He is an alumnus of Vijaya College, Bangalore. |
..: Sherwin Noronha, General Manager

Sherwin joined Kawamin India team in 2007. He is responsible for developing Alloy Steel & Special Steel plates, bars and rounds, Non-Ferrous Scrap & Residues apart from Base Metals trade.
Prior to Kawamin, he was a Commercial Manager at The British Metal Corporation (I) Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, India since 1996.
Sherwin graduated from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai (Mumbai University) in 1996 with a Bachelors in Science (Chemistry).

..: Jasmin Fernandez, Assistant Manager (Trade)

Jasmin joined Kawamin in February 2007. She has been an integral part of the customer servicing and business execution team. In her role she is responsible for concluding contracts and providing support to the trade team.
Jasmin graduated from Wigan & Leigh College in 2002 with a Diploma in Business Administration.

..: Rajendrakumar R.D., Finance Manager

Raj joined Kawamin as Finance Manager in August 2006.
Before joining Kawamin, he worked with a few international trading companies in Singapore as Finance Manager for almost 15 years. Raj has an extensive experience in the field of banking, accounting and financial analysis related to international trading companies in Singapore.
Raj holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Bombay and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India since 1989. |
..: Debasis Saha, Assistant Manager (Accounts)

Debasis joined Kawamin in 2004. He is responsible to look after the accounts and administrative related matter as well as supporting the Finance Department.
He holds a Master Degree in Commerce (M.Com) from University of Calcutta (Kolkata). |
..: Esther Hung, Manager (Operations and Documentation)
 |
Esther joined Kawamin in 2002. She heads the Operations and Documentation Department. With her substantial experience in shipping and documentation, she is instrumental in setting systems and controls to ensure trade transactions are executed on schedule.
Esther is a Diploma holder in Import Export Shipping awarded by the Maritime Studies Centre. |
..: Rosnani, Assistant Manager (Operations and Documentation)

Rosnani joined Kawamin’s Operations and Documentation department in 2009. She has vast and varied experience in shipping and documentation areas of international trading companies in Singapore. She ensures all the trade transactions are executed within the schedule.
Rosnani is a GCE ‘O’ Level holder and constantly upgraded her skill by attending short term courses in Secretarial, Shipping & Documentations with reputed commercial institutions in Singapore. |
